Cedar Creek Smokehouse
If you have not eaten at Cedar Creek Smokehouse, you owe it to yourself to stop by for a great lunch or dinner. Owners Derrell and Shuree Spillers take pride in their barbecue, which is always slow-cooked on the premises over oak and hickory. But if barbecue isn't what you're craving, they also serve up some of the best steaks this side of Atlanta. One of their specials is prime rib, and we can personally testify that it is some of the best we've ever had.
In addition to their superb meats, Cedar Creek offers a delicious selection of homemade salads, side dishes, and desserts, all made in-house from old family recipes. And don't forget to check out the meat counter in the front, where you can purchase great barbecued or smoked meats, fish, and sausages to take home. Our personal favorite is the smoked salmon, which is fresh, never frozen.
The dining room seats 100 and can be booked for special events. They also offer off-site event catering.
Cedar Creek Smokehouse is located at 871 Harmony Road in Putnam County. They are open Tuesday through Thursday from 11am to 7pm, and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 9pm. You can give them a call at 706-923-5100.
